My go to for hand wrapping for Muay This is what I call the "pillow method" this is the traditional Thai style where you create a pillow for your knuckles before starting the wrapping process.

Check out this Youtube video which shows this method perfectly:

Create the Pillow: Unroll a portion of your hand wrap (about 10-15 inches) and fold it back and forth over your hand to form a thick pad or 'pillow' over your knuckles. This will provide extra cushioning for impact.

Secure the Pillow:
Hold the pillow in place over your knuckles with one hand. With the other hand, use the remaining length of the wrap to secure the pillow to your hand. Wrap around your knuckles several times to hold the pillow firmly in place.

Wrap the Wrist:
After securing the knuckles, bring the wrap down to your wrist. Wrap around the wrist 3-4 times for stability.

Between the Fingers: From the wrist, bring the wrap up to the back of your hand. Wrap between each pair of fingers, starting from between the pinky and ring finger, moving towards the index finger and thumb. This process supports the fingers and knuckles.

Thumb and Back to Wrist: After wrapping between your fingers, wrap around your thumb once or twice for support, then bring the wrap back down to your wrist.

Finish the Wrap: Use the remaining length of the wrap to reinforce areas that need more support. This can be over the knuckles again or around the wrist. The wrap should be snug but comfortable, allowing for a good fist without restriction.

Closure: Secure the wrap with the Velcro closure at the end, usually around the wrist. Check for comfort and circulation. You should be able to make a fist comfortably and not feel any pinching or excessive tightness.

This method provides extra protection for the knuckles, which is crucial in Muay Thai due to the frequent and powerful striking with the hands. As always, ensure that your wrap is comfortable and provides adequate support without being too tight. If you're unsure, ask for assistance from a more experienced practitioner or your instructor.
